We invite you to join us for the opening night of our student production, “The Foreigner” at Alverno College on Friday, October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. in Wehr Auditorium.  Immediately following the performance, Director Tom Reed and members of the student cast will host a “talk-back” session in Wehr Auditorium along with a reception to include refreshments and snacks.

The Dance/Theatre Department at Alverno College is continuing to grow and continuing to create new opportunities for students involved in the performing arts.  Recent highlights include the department’s collaboration with Optimist Theatre in June of 2010 for Optimist’s Free Shakespeare in the Park featuring Jim Pickering from the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre in The Tempest.   Students worked behind the scenes and appeared in the show alongside professional actors .  The Dance/Theatre Department will continue its collaboration with Optimist Theatre for the 2011 installment of Free Shakespeare in the Park.  The department has also started working on a future collaboration with Renaissance Theatreworks.

We appreciate your support of Alverno’s Dance/Theatre Department and hope to see you at opening night of The Foreigner on Friday, October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. in Wehr Auditorium.  Bring a friend and enjoy!
