Carrie Bilicki

Carrie Bilicki '95, '11
Carrie Bilicki was initially inspired to be a nurse after she went on two mission trips to Haiti as a teenager where she attended to various needs at the Grace Children's Hospital. Today, Ms. Bilicki is an Oncology nurse with a commitment to both compassionate and professional patient care.

Yet, her nursing work goes beyond the hospital walls. Ms. Bilicki is one of the hosts of Nursestalk (, a health-related talk show that can be seen on YouTube. With co-hosts, Kevin Hook, MSN, and fellow Alverno alum, Lisa Thomka, PhD, Ms. Bilicki discusses health issues and patient care from a nurse's perspective. To read the entire story click here.

Around Alverno

The 2011-12 Alverno College President’s Report, "Inspired by Legacy" is now available online.
This year's report celebrates 125 years of Alverno College success by sharing special highlights from the previous fiscal year, as well as personal profiles of seven Alverno families. While each family has a unique story, they share one common theme: Alverno College has made a positive difference in their lives. That common theme gets at the heart of our mission – an unrelenting desire to improve and change the world, one student at a time – and clearly establishes the importance
of ensuring future generations of Alverno graduates have the same opportunities as our distinguished alumnae. Please visit to see all of the highlights from the past year.

Can Across the ConferenceAlverno Alums, Students, Staff and Faculty,

On behalf of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Alverno College Athletics, I would like to THANK everyone who participated in the Cans Across the Conference food drive competition. We are excited to announce that this is the third year in a row that Alverno has won this competition by setting a new donation record for the conference.  We are honored to continue to represent the "Alverno Way" through service!! As the organizers of this community service project, we began this competition with a high goal in mind. After collecting over 13,000 cans last year, we set out to double that incredible mark and to reach a goal of 25,000 cans, in honor of the 125th year of Alverno College. As we all know, this is a CAMPUS WIDE event and to surpass that goal would take EVERYONE! I am VERY EXCITED to let you know that our total number was 25,284 cans! To put that number in to perspective, if you added up ALL the other 12 institutions in the Northern Athletic Conference, they still wouldn’t have beaten US!!!! This is an incredible accomplishment and we are so thankful to everyone who participated in donating food and time. Click here to read more.
