Annual Alumnae Juried Art Show during Homecoming 2012 in the Alverno Art & Cultures Gallery. The exhibit will open on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception and an Awards Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The Exhibit will run through Saturday, October 27, 2012. As a Utilization Management Specialist (UMS) at Children's Hospital, Rosanna has many responsibilities. She provides daily clinical reviews to insurance companies, works with physicians and Inpatient Case Managers to ensure timely discharge of patients, appeals any denials of medical payment and works with other departments to generate Children's yearly denial reports. Rosanna's well-rounded Alverno education is invaluable to her profession, helping her see nursing as something "beyond the bed-side." Click here to read the full article.

The Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls Launches a New Website and a New Vision
Under the direction of Executive Director Rhonda Matthews Ware, the Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls ("Research Center") has launched a new website and created a new vision. The Research Center, building upon the exceptional work of the Alverno College Research Center on Women (1970-80) and the Alverno College Research Center on Women Interest Group (1981-present), generates and applies research for the purpose of inspiring, transforming, and supporting initiatives to improve the lives of women and girls in the state of Wisconsin and beyond. The Research Center team produces research publications and school curricula that affect women and girls in school, in the workplace, and in society at large. The Research Center intends that its research be used by educators, community organizations, businesses, and government officials to raise awareness, identify solutions, change attitudes and practices, and develop public policy, both locally and nationally. The Research Center is located at the north end of Clare Hall on the first floor. Wilmore Represents Alverno With First Team All-NAC Accolade
Alverno College junior catcher Stef Wilmore (Elkhart, Ind./Central) has been named to the All-Northern Athletics Conference First Team, as the league announced the softball awards for the 2012 season Wednesday morning. "Stef really had a great year both defensively and offensively and was very deserving of the first team award," Alverno head coach Kristin Ortman said. "I know that she worked hard in the offseason to put herself in a position to have a great year." Click here to read the full article.
