Dear ,

A memorable weekend awaits you here on campus at Alverno College! Join us at Homecoming 2012 - Family, Friends, Students and Alumnae Weekend - celebrating Alverno's 125th Anniversary! Friday-Sunday, October 5–7th. Homecoming is a great opportunity to connect with the Alverno friends, faculty members, and places you remember so fondly.

We've planned a variety of fun and enjoyable events throughout the weekend, and all alumnae and their families are welcome. See our event schedule below and register now. Registering is important because it lets us and your classmates know you're planning to be here. You can see a list of people who have indicated they're going to be at Homecoming.

Reunions are only as wonderful as the people who attend. If you want to see your friends at Homecoming, invite them! Reach out to classmates today through the Alverno Alum Online Community and encourage them to join you at the Homecoming 2012 & Alverno's 125th Anniversary Celebration.

See you on campus!

Alumnae Events whether on or off campus - are a great opportunity to become more involved with the Alverno Community, visit with friends and make new networking contacts. Oh, and they're FUN

Communication & Technology "Feedback & Fun"

An Invitation to all Communication and Technology Alumnae

Few things are more fun that having the "Remember when…?" or "Whatever happened to…?" conversations with important people from your past. It's about connecting, but it's also about sharing how life has changed.

That is why the faculty of the Communication & Technology Department and the Office of Alumnae Relations are hosting a reunion and networking event this September.

The C&T faculty is eager to hear from our alums about their career experiences. We are always exited and proud when we hear about the career successes of our alums. We know we have alums doing amazing work in a variety of fields, and we want to hear about it! Your accomplishments inspire us as faculty and give us encouraging stories to tell our current and future students.

We welcome alumnae who graduated with a major in Professional Communication (PCM), Communication, Management and Technology (CMT), Interactive Media Design (IMD), or Computing and Information Technology (CIT) to participate in one of two "Feedback and Fun" events:

After Work Wine and Cheese on Thursday, September 20 from 5:00-7:00 Kellogg A

Besides re-connecting with communication faculty and sister alums, you can serve in an advisory role. "The majors that serve the communication professions are challenged by constantly changing technology," says Professor Jill Moore. " Who better than our alums to advise us about the best practices and technology applications in the contemporary workplace?" To register click here.

Residence Life to Begin Bike Program – Helmets Needed
Many of our students who are far away from home and living in the residence halls, especially our International students, are often seeking ways to get around town. In response, Residence Life will be starting a program in the fall where students can check out a bike to run errands or just go riding. It is a great alternative to taxis and buses for things that are nearby. In support of this venture, the International Intercultural Center is seeking donations of bike helmets so that students have the proper equipment when venturing out. We are looking for ten new helmets that can be used for students participating in this program. Providing this option will be a green approach to students seeking another mode of transportation with the necessary safety precautions. Any assistance that you can provide will be most welcome!
For more information, please contact Rachel Haos at 414-382-6006 or rachel.haos@alverno.edu or Lynn Kuhlman at 414-382-6372 or lynn.kuhlman@alverno.edu.

"Matt is energetic and has a great eagerness to teach, so I know the players will learn a lot from him."
