Tuesday, December 10, 2013
The Alverno Student Athlete Advisory Committee is starting up the annual Cans Across the Conference Food Drive Competition. As three-time defending champs we thank you all for your support and generosity and hope we can continue the success. Last year we collected 25,284 items…can we do it again?
A Message from ADMISSIONS
We are excited to let you know that Kristy Moeller '06, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions for high school recruitment, will be coming to the January Networking Breakfast to talk about Alverno’s Alum Referral Scholarship. She will share stories of successful partnerships between alums and prospective students – and tell you about how those students benefitted from the scholarship. She may even bring a special guest or two. She hopes that she will be able to see and talk too many of you there!
In addition, a new round of recruitment events is upon us. Please share the following information with anyone you know who may be interested.
Open House for High School Students
Open House for Transfer Students
Spread the word...so that even more people can experience the one-of-a-kind, top-notch education you got at Alverno.
Your Friends in Admissions
“Old” looks different today than in years past; aging in the 21st century sparks increasingly more questions and lifestyle choices to consider. In today's society, people across the life span are working in highly productive jobs, running marathons, communicating with their families and friends through social media and are active in the dating scene, thus challenging our traditional view of aging. Join us as we sift through the myths, confront the realities and discover the opportunities and resources that can promote a lifetime of living well in the 21st century. Is "age" the number of years of one’s life or the way one chooses to live?
Our guest panel of distinguished, active community volunteers represents a range of backgrounds in nursing, higher education, and public service and includes: Moderator Doris Chortek, Vivien DeBack '54 (moderator), Harry Fleddermann and Vi Hawkins.
