I
am Debra Chomicka (pronounced "ho-MEETZ-kah"), the Director
of the Career Education Center at Alverno College since 1995. I am
dedicated to helping Alverno students, alumnae and clients develop
career action plans that work for them. Due to this,
I am actively engaged in teaching (both on and off campus), counseling,
and developing targeted career programs for a wide variety of audiences.
On campus you can find me teaching PPS-129 in Weekday College, teaching MGT
384 in Weekend College, and facilitating resume and portfolio workshops. Additionally, I often present workshops
on careering topics to both on and off campus groups. A liberal
arts major and native of Milwaukee, I earned a B.A. in Anthropology,
a Certificate in Russian and East European Studies, and an M.A. in
History, all from UW-Milwaukee.
