Welcome! This module will assist you in understanding the research process.

Module 4 Learning Outcomes:

  • Competently uses basic research terminology
  • Proficiently applies the research process
  • Accurately identifies the source of their information and how this information is organized
  • Identifies and selects appropriate online databases relevant to the subject area
  • Creates effective search statements based on their information needs
  • Critically evaluates information and articulates the importance of an evaluation process
  • Begins to discern point-of-view (bias) in periodical literature
  • Effectively self assesses and refines their research process
