  • Gallup.com
    Gallup's polling data on a breadth of everyday issues (e.g., crime, religion, sports, the workplace) in addition to politics render the site informative for discussions in nearly all social science courses including history, public policy, and current events. Includes both U.S. and world topics.

  • Kaiser Polls
    Run by the Henry J. Kaiser Foundation, this Web site provides free access to questions with responses in PDF format to surveys about health and health-care issues from 1994 to the present.

  • National Organization for Research at the Univ. of Chicago (NORC)
    A polling organization that conducts specialized surveys on local, national, and international public opinion. Widely know for its annual General Social Survey. Depending upon the study, users can view questionnaires, datasets, frequencies, or analyses.

  • Pew Research Center
    The Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan "fact tank" that provides information on the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. It does so by conducting public opinion polling and social science research; by reporting news and analyzing news coverage; and by holding forums and briefings. It does not take positions on policy issues.

    Conducts surveys from a nonpartisan perspective to understand public opinion.     The Afrobarometer is an independent, non-partisan research project that measures the social, political and economic atmosphere in Africa. The surveys are conducted in more than a dozen countries and are repeated on a regular basis.

  • Europa Public Opinion
    This is the website for the Public Opinion Analysis sector of the European Commission. The surveys and studies address major topics concerning European citizenship: enlargement, social situation, health, culture, information technology, environment, the Euro, defense, etc.

  • FOM: Public Opinion Foundation

  • Mansfield Asian Opinion Poll Database
    Offers opinion polls on key policy-related issues from major media organizations and other agencies in Japan and South Korea. Coverage is from 2004-2006.

  • Public Opinion Research Reports
    Maintained by Canadian government, this site features reports that include work contracted by a wide variety of departments and agencies, such as the Department of National Defence and Health Canada. The database only contains reports contracted from August 2006 to the present. Visitors can click on "Find a Report" to look for materials of specific interest, or they can also use the "What’s New" button to glance over recent additions.

  • World Public Opinion.org
    Launched in January 2006 by the Program on International Policy Attitudes, this site provides articles on the results of opinion polls taken around the world on a wide variety of current issues. Articles are organized by region and topic. The polls are conducted by a wide range of authoritative organizations including the Pew Research Center, Gallup, Harris, and the BBC as well as the staff of World Public Opinion.
