Throughout the course, four models or diagrams will be referred to as an organizing framework. The first two models refer to the laboratory experience; microbiology is a laboratory-oriented course. The third model is a graphic overview of the course. The fourth model stresses aspects of thinking that hopefully you will develop as a result of the course.
