I am planning a biography of conservationist and naturalist William T. Hornaday, focusing on his role as a public scientist.
I plan to study the reasons students believe science is an important part of their undergraduate curriculum, particularly for those students who do not identify themselves as "good at science" from the start.
My history of the Kaibab deer appeared in 2002, from the University of Nebraska Press. Order online. An overview is available here.
I have completed the manuscript for an undergraduate textbook, titled "The Environment and Science," as part of the ABC-Clio Series, Science and Society, edited by Mark Largent.
