Congratulations to Danielle Mattson and Kendra Pass! Danielle and Kendra were inducted into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology, in November.

Congratulations to Gabriele Leija! Gaby received the Psychology Department's Award for Distinctive Academic Engagement, granted to a graduating senior who exemplifies the principles of lifelong learning.

Graduation reviews required. Students planning to graduate in May 2011 are required to submit a graduation review to the Psychology Department. This review will help us continue to improve the program, and also provides valuable information to the faculty as they prepare your narrative transcripts. Psychology (PSY and PDC) majors should use this form; support students should use this one. Email the completed review to department secretary Chris Braden. The deadline is March 18, 2011; failure to meet this deadline may result in a registration hold.

Psi Chi Applications now being accepted. Alverno's chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology, is now accepting applications. Students must be Psychology (PSY or PDC) majors in good standing who have completed at least two upper-level courses in the major. The application is due Friday, February 18. Applications are accepted each semester, so if you are not currently eligible, don't worry; you can apply in the future.
